To get started, open the Health app on your iPhone. Tap the Medical ID tab on the bottom right, then select “Create Medical ID”. Once you’ve completed this, you’ll be able to enter emergency contacts, and finally add an image of your medical ID card.

Once your profile is complete, you can easily access your Medical ID in an emergency situation. From the lock screen, press the Medical ID icon in the bottom right corner. This will open your profile and display your vital medical information. No passcode is needed, so even if you’re unable to speak, medical personnel can access your life-saving data with a single swipe.
