Are you ready to make the air in your bathroom a little fresher? Installing a bathroom fan is an easy and quick way to do just that. But what do you do if you don’t have access to your attic? Don’t worry, we have you covered! Read on to find out how to install a bathroom fan even if you don’t have attic access.
Breezing Through Bathroom Fan Installation
Installing a bathroom fan might seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. You’ll need access to your attic, but don’t worry if you don’t have it. It is still possible to install a bathroom fan without attic access.
The first step is to find an appropriate spot in the wall or ceiling to place the fan. Make sure the spot you choose is away from any other obstructions. Once you’ve selected the spot, you’ll need to cut a hole in the wall or ceiling. Use a drywall saw to make the cuts.
No Attic Access? No Problem!
Once the hole is cut, you’ll need to install the fan. If you don’t have access to the attic, you can attach the fan to the wall or ceiling from the outside. To do this, use a tube of expanding foam insulation to secure the fan in place. The foam will expand and create a strong seal around the fan.
Now you’re ready to attach the fan to the electrical wiring. This requires some basic electrical wiring knowledge, so if you’re not comfortable with it, we recommend hiring an electrician. Once everything is wired up, you can turn the fan on and enjoy the fresh air it brings.
